Are you a solicitor looking for flexibility, autonomy, and a better work-life balance without compromising your professional goals? We have an exciting opportunity for experienced solicitors to join our team working as a consultant solicitor.
At South Bank Legal, we specialise in providing legal services to business clients and are seeking legal professionals in key areas, including:
- Corporate Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A)
- Commercial law (all sectors)
- Intellectual property
- Commercial litigation and dispute resolution
With a rising demand for our services, we are keen to expand our team with skilled solicitors who can help manage our growing workload. This is a perfect opportunity for solicitors who value independence and flexibility, combined with the support and infrastructure of a well-established law firm.
Consultant Solicitor Jobs – About the Role
The consultant solicitor role offers unparalleled flexibility, allowing you to tailor your work to fit your lifestyle. Whether you choose to work from home, work from our centrally located Zone 1 London office, or adopt a hybrid model, the choice is entirely yours.
This flexibility ensures you maintain control over your schedule, enabling a healthier work-life balance while continuing to deliver top-tier legal services to clients.
As a self-employed consultant, you will have the freedom to manage your own cases and clients. You will essentially be your own boss, deciding on how you work, when you work, and which cases you take on. For solicitors who have long been in pursuit of both professional independence and the support of a recognised firm, this consultancy role provides the best of both worlds.
Key Practice Areas
Our firm’s core practice areas reflect the diverse and growing needs of our business clients:
- Corporate Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A)
- Commercial Law
- Intellectual Property
- Commercial Litigation and Dispute Resolution
Who Should Apply?
We are looking for experienced solicitors with a solid background in one or more of the above practice areas. Applicants who have their own client following would be a great fit, as this can supplement the workload we can provide. However, generating your own work load is not essential, and we welcome applications from all highly qualified individuals.
The ideal candidate will have:
- A minimum of 3 years’ PQE (Post-Qualified Experience) in one or more of the specified practice areas.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, essential for client relations.
- A passion for delivering high-quality, commercial-focused legal advice.
- Self-motivation and the ability to manage their own caseload effectively.
Why Work with Us?
Although you will be operating as a self-employed consultant, you will have full access to our firm’s resources, central London offices and meeting rooms, administrative support, case management system, business development team and our network of professional contacts.
You will not be isolated; rather, you will be part of a supportive environment where collaboration is encouraged. Our managing partner, who has 25 years’ practice in commercial law, will be available for guidance and support when needed.
This role offers the freedom to manage your workload while benefiting from the infrastructure and reputation of a well-established law firm. You can work independently but still tap into our collective knowledge and network, giving you the best of both worlds.
